NATURAL BRANCHES FROM NON-TOXIC TREES
Natural branches are great for parrots! They love to spend time stripping the bark from them ! Especially good if your bird is a chewer as from time to time you may notice your bird takes to chewing up the house!,This is a natural instinct that is associated with nest building im afraid. Twigs from non-toxic trees make great toys for your birds too as they will spend time removing the bark! You can also use them as perches-They are great for this as the varied size of them exercises the foot and can keep nails trim too! From time to time I get big branches and put them in a christmas tree stand as an easy fun place for my birds to sit and strip off the bark, you can hang their favourite toys on them too! Always remember to scrub them well before use though so that they are free of any dirt and fungals, I usually just go over them with a nail brush and hot water just to be safe. At last a new way to keep give your birds some heat without heating the entire room and great to give birds in aviaries some extra heat to help protect from frost bite.
